APSA believes in and is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion among its members and the broader communities that we engage. We seek to establish and maintain an inclusive culture that encourages equitable participation for students and scholars from diverse backgrounds, including but not limited to age, race, sex, class, national origin, immigration status, creed, educational background, religion, gender identity, disability, gender expression, geographical location, income, marital status, parental status, sexual orientation, and work experiences. APSA fosters scholarly inquiry by organizing conferences and publishing an academic journal, the Journal of Lusophone Studies, based on the foundations of an inclusive culture across the multiple dimensions of diversity that define our communities.
